This is a bright, fruit-driven wine with aromas of red berries and soft tannins. The nose is lifted and complex and very inviting. In fact, the nose on this wine is so intriguing and engaging that you almost forget the next step! When you do get to the palate you find a wine which is not an enormous, powerful monster, but still fills the mouth with flavour, lovely weight and poise. There is a beautiful mix of bright fruit flavours, subtle secondary characters and balanced oak (the wine was barrel-aged for 12 months in a combination of American and French oak).
